Title: Mixed lot of 7 photographs.
Date: 1951-59/1999.
Technique: Each: gelatin silver print.
Mounting: Mounted on card.
Depiction Size: 18 x 13cm.
Notation: . Signed, dated and inscribed (verso).
Frame: Framed. Not examined out of the frame.


The photographs generally bear two dates on the verso, one from the 1950s (19551-59) and one from 1999. The photographs are from the 1950s, the prints from 1999.

Provenance:
- Kasper König Collection, Berlin (directly from the artist)

- Seydou opened his photo studio in Mali at the end of the 1940s
- The men in the photographs mostly wear Western clothing and like to be portrayed with various objects such as watches and pens
- The women continue to wear traditional clothing and a lot of jewellery, but it is not until the end of the 1960s that they also have themselves photographed in Western clothes.
