- From the best of the "Brücke" era. - The work shows Fräzi Fehrmann, the most important model and muse of the "Brücke" artists since 1909, along with her brother Peter. - The scene of the two children sitting on the sofa in the Dresden studio is also documented by a photo by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner from 1910. - In 1910, Heckel also painted the today lost painting "Sitzende Kinder" based on this famous motif (cf. Hünecke 1910-8). - Strong, high-contrast woodcut on an extraordinarily elongated paper format. - Rarey.
