Edward Weston (American, 1886-1958) Albert Bender, 1928 Gelatin silver p[print 5 x 3-3/4 inches (12.7 x 9.5 cm) (sight) Titled in pencil, mount verso. Albert Bender was a San Francisco philanthropist who played a crucial role in supporting the Bay Area's art scene. He was a major benefactor to the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) and various artists, including Ansel Adams, Diego Rivera, and Frida Kahlo. Overall very good condition. Faint silver mirroring to the sheet visible in raking light. Sheet is dry mounted to a mat board with a 11 x 9-1/4 inch window mat, not framed.
