Unlined canvas with George Rowney & Co. supplier's mark on the reverse. Stretcher bar marks faintly visible near edges under raking light. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer. Scattered instances of faint craquelure, with a few areas of more pronounced pigment separation in the sky, apparently stabilized beneath the varnish layer. A small dot of loss above the date, and a horizontal line of slightly lifted cracking in the background just above the signature. Some scattered small dots of discolored accretion and surface abrasion, and some areas of faintly whiteish accretion. Minor surface dirt and dust. Not examined out of frame due to size. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Some of the aforementioned accretions fluoresce. No apparent retouching. Framed Dimensions 37 X 53 X 5 Inches
