Oil on canvas. Twice monogrammed, dated “15.10.99” and “23.1.01” and with a different title on the reverse of the stretcher. 50.5 x 84.5 cm. . [KA].
- Maximum effect with minimal means: Miriam Cahn uses her unique artistic language to explore the complexity of human existence. - Motherhood and femininity are central themes in Cahn's oeuvre. - The artist was invited to participate in the documenta in Kassel in 1982 (and again in 2017) and was represented at the Venice Biennale in 1984 and 2022. - Other works are in prestigious international collections, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Tate Modern, London, the Museo Reina Sofía, Madrid, and the Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munich. - Most recently, Miriam Cahn was honored with the solo exhibition “Reading Dust” at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, from October 2024 to January 2025.

In good condition. Minor tension irregularities of the canvas in the corners. Two small brown spots in the center at the top of the flesh tones and in the upper right edge. Minimal rubbing in the lower right edge and in the lower right corner. The condition report was compiled in daylight with a UV light source and to the best of our knowledge and belief.
