The work shows Siddi Heckel in the Osterholz studio. In the background we see the large-format sunflowers that used to be part of the today destroyed mural. The painting shows a figurative mural in right background (cf. Andreas Hüneke, Erich Heckel. Werkverzeichnis der Gemälde, Wandbilder und Skulpturen, vol. II, Munich 2017, pp. 421-423). [AW].
