Many drawings and lithographs remained unsigned at the time of George Bellows' death in 1925. His widow, Emma S. Bellows, and later his daughter, Jean Bellows Booth, signed remaining impressions with the artist's name followed by their respective initials (ESB or JBB). The present work retains the inscription J.B.B. applied at lower right as well as The Bellows Trust inventory number (BFT) in the outer margin. Mild toning throughout, commensurate with age. Minor buckling throughout sheet, likely result of printing process. Mild creases and handling dents throughout margins. Minor tear in sheet approximately 6.25'' from the bottom of sheet along left edge. A few scattered surface marks throughout margins, does not appear to affect image. Moderate foxing throughout. Loose sheet.
