Das Werk steht exemplarisch für Martial Raysses leuchtende, von Werbung und Popkultur geprägte Bildsprache der 1960er-Jahre. Mit intensiver Farbigkeit, Xerografie und Collage verbindet der dem Nouveau Réalisme zugehörige Künstler französische Avantgarde mit deutlichen Bezügen zur Pop Art. Das Werk stammt aus der Sammlung des berühmten Tänzer- und Künstlerpaares Zizi Jeanmaire und Roland Petit und entstand in jenem Jahr, in dem Raysse Frankreich auf der 33. Biennale von Venedig vertrat.

The work originates from the collection of the celebrated dancer and artist couple Zizi Jeanmaire and Roland Petit and was executed in the same year that Raysse represented France at the 33rd Venice Biennale.
