Published to mark the exhibition ‘Industrial Buildings: A Photographic Documentation by B. & U. H. Becher’ at the Städtisches Museum Mönchengladbach. The boxes were provided by AGFA GEVAERT AG.



This copy of the catalogue is the second in the museum’s collection. It is likely that this copy belongs to the six boxes that were filled at a later date (1971). In 1968, Johannes Cladders requested that the photographs be stamped. When the Bechers received six boxes in 1971 to be filled with further photographs, they may have decided not to use the stamps.
