Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) On the Set of Taxi (4 works), 1953 Gelatin silver prints 2-7/8 x 2-7/8 inches (7.3 x 7.3 cm) (sheets) From the Ron Slattery collection Maier shot extensively the day that Taxi was filming on location on this NYC street. According to research by biographer Pamela Bannos, Maier may have been taking photography classes and often using a studio darkroom in the building featured in Taxi. Overall excellent condition. Some sheets with some soft creasing. Three sheets are loose, not framed, one sheet hinged to a 10 x 8 inch window mat, not framed.
