A lovely print of a young lady washing strips of white cloth, with gaufrage, in the river. The cartouche above with a poem by Fujiwara no Teika and the words Musashi no meisho (Famous Places in Musashi). The condition of the work is consistent with its age. Mild toning to sheet, appears even throughout sheet. Previous adhesive residue along verso edges. Some mica/pigment transfer evident on verso, does not appear to impact recto image. Mild handling dents/light creasing throughout sheet. Two extremely small partial wormholes evident verso to the right of the figure's head; have not gone through the sheet but do appear as thinning areas recto. A few very small, scattered foxing marks, primarily evident verso. Unframed. No tears or losses observed.
