Description

The painting was formerly auctioned as “in the manner of Nicolas de Largillière (1656 – Paris – 1746)” (see RKD ill. no. 1032058). The painter is presumably a successor to the court painter Caspar Netscher, who worked for the House of Wittelsbach.
